Hand-Painted Glassware
Started out as an art major in college, with an interior design curriculum. Interior design was okay, but not fantastic. Over the years I took various art related classes, but still wasn't working in an artistic field. When the computer world took over I began to take a class now and then in graphics. Love graphics, but still needed to express myself creatively in a much more hands on way. The years went by and I got into jewelry making. That was okay, but not fantastic. Everything seemed to already have been done with jewelry. And I've always gravitated back to a certain organic pattern, that I've always wanted to use somehow in my artistic expression. That's how Celestial Salamander was born. I began experimenting using the pattern on glassware. People had a very positive response to it. Now THAT wasn't just okay, it was fantastic !!
